PALAKKAD: Rahul Mamkootathil said that it has been proved that there is nothing inside the trolley bag and what happened is a political drama. He was responding to the media after the preliminary report of the police that they could not find any evidence in the blue trolley bag controversy that erupted in connection with the Palakkad by-election.
"The Congress will not leave the trolley bag controversy. CPM and the BJP should understand that the people are conscious. Legal action will be taken in the case of trespassing into the rooms of women leaders. The petty controversy is an idea that has blossomed in the CPM-BJP alliance," Rahul Mamkootathil said.
The Special Branch DySP submitted the investigation report to the Palakkad SP stating that no evidence could be found on the complaint that Congress leaders had brought money in trolley bags. The SP told the media that no further action is required in the trolley bag controversy and the case will be closed. Police team had checked the rooms where the Congress leaders were staying at the KPM hotel in the early hours of November 6.
