Unaccounted money; AMVI and actor K Manikandan suspended

PALAKKAD: Actor and Motor Vehicle Department AMVI Manikandan has been suspended from service. Kasargod native Manikandan, an
Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI) at the Ottapalam Joint RTO office, was suspended for accumulating unaccounted wealth.

He was suspended pending an investigation after the Vigilance Department registered a case against him for unauthorized wealth accumulation. Last month, the Vigilance Special Cell had conducted raids at Manikandan's rented house in Ottapalam and his native house in Kasaragod. The action was taken after Rs 1,90,000 was seized from his house.
