PATHANAMTHITTA: Former Kannur ADM Naveen Babu's widow Manjusha has been transferred following her request. Manjusha, who was Konni Tehsildar earlier has now been transferred to Pathanamthitta Collectorate. She is presently on leave. Manjusha had requested to relieve her from responsible duties and requested a transfer to Collectorate. She was transferred based on her application.
Meantime, the vigilance special cell has completed their investigation into the bribery allegations on Naveen Babu's death. The final report will be submitted to the home department this week. The Kozhikode Vigilance Special Cell conducted the investigation into the allegations. T V Prasanthan's allegation was that he had given bribe to get sanction for the petrol pump. The government had directed the vigilance special cell to investigate this. Congress leader T O Mohanan had also filed a complaint with the vigilance. His statement was also recorded by the vigilance the other day.
Meanwhile, notices have been sent to Kannur Collector and T V Prasanthan in a petition filed by the family seeking protection of evidence in the case related to Naveen Babu's death. The Kannur First Class Magistrate Court, which considered the plea, ordered to send the notice. The case will be considered again on December 10. The court had raised doubts when it considered the plea last time that examining the mobile phone records of the district collector and T V Prasanthan, not arraigned in the case, would not affect their privacy. It is in this context that the court directed to send notices to both of them in this regard.
