Bank official dies after getting sandwiched between two buses in East Fort

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man died after getting sandwiched between two buses at East Fort in the capital city. The dead is Ullas, an employee of Kerala Bank. The accident happened when he was crossing the road. The tragic incident happened at around 2:30 pm Friday afternoon.

The KSRTC bus that came from Kovalam was taking a U-turn to return. At this time, Ullas was in front of the bus. Suddenly, a private bus turned right just in front of the KSRTC bus. Ullas got sandwiched between these two buses. He was immediately taken to the hospital in a police jeep, but he died.

The Fort police reached the spot after people seeing the incident informed them. They immediately took him to the hospital in their vehicle. The body is in the morgue of the medical college hospital.
