Class 12 student from Madhya Pradesh shoots school principal and escapes on principal's two-wheeler; arrested from another state

BHOPAL: A school principal was shot dead by a student in Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place at Dhamora Government Higher Secondary School in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The school's principal, Surendra Kumar Saxena, was killed in the attack. The body of Surendra Kumar was found in the toilet of the school. The student followed Surendra Kumar, who had gone to the toilet and opened fire there. The employees who heard the gunfire noise rushed to the principal's office and toilet but could not save him. The principal was shot in the head. Surendra Kumar Saxena has been the headmaster of this school for the past five years.

The accused, a class 12 student, escaped from the school on Saxena's two-wheeler. Police said there was one more student with the accused. Earlier, action was taken against the two students for indiscipline. Superintendent of Police Agam Jain said CCTV footage of the school showed the students escaping.

National media reports that the shooter has been arrested. The Naugaon police nabbed the accused from Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. The accused student has been brought to the Orcha Road police station.
