Dileep's Sabarimala visit: Vigilance submits preliminary report, detailed report to be handed over to High Court

PATHANAMTHITTA: The vigilance has handed over the preliminary investigation report to the Devaswom Board in connection with the incident in which actor Dileep visited Sabarimala under VIP consideration. The investigation report was handed over to the Devaswom Board by the Devaswom Vigilance SP. Devaswom Executive Officer Murari Babu said that a preliminary report has been handed over and a detailed report will be handed over to the high court on Monday. The Devaswom Board president said that the CCTV footage will be handed over to the court. Strong action will be taken if any irregularities have taken place. The Devaswom Board president had earlier clarified that the board and the police have directed that no one should be given special consideration at Sannidhanam at present.

The high court had sought an explanation from the Devaswom Board on the incident. The court said the matter cannot be taken lightly and directed to produce CCTV footage of the incident. Actor Dileep visited Sabarimala yesterday. Dileep had darshan just before the nada closed for the day. The actor returned after Harivarasanam and the nada closed. Dileep had visited Sabarimala in the last few years as well. The high court is now examining whether Dileep got VIP treatment.
