Kalidas Jayaram gets married to Tarini Kalingarayar in Guruvayur temple, VIPs including Suresh Gopi attend function

Actor Kalidas Jayaram, son of actor couple Jayaram and Parvathy, got married to his long-time friend and model Tarini Kalingarayar, at the wedding held in Guruvayur. Kalidas tied the knot Sunday morning between 7.15 am and 8 am. Minister Muhammad Riyas, Union Minister of State and actor Suresh Gopi, his son Gokul Suresh and many other VIPs attended the wedding.

Kalidas wore a golden coloured mundu with a red coloured melmundu. He wore the mundu in panchakacham style. Tarini wore a peach-coloured saree with golden work.
The pre-wedding celebrations of them were held in Chennai last Friday. Close friends and family members attended the event. Kalidas and Tarini got engaged in Chennai in last November. The two were in a relationship and it became public when Tarini attended the Onam celebrations at Kalidas' house in 2022. Tarini, a native of Nilgiris, had won the Miss Tamil Nadu and Miss South India first runner-up titles in 2019. Tarini also participated in the 2022 Miss Diva Universe beauty pageant.

Kalidas' sister Malavika got married in Guruvayur in May 2024. Jayaram and Parvathy's wedding also was in Guruvayur.

A video of Kalidas and Tarini, including others, eating at the pre-wedding celebration had gone viral on social media. There was no compromise on the dishes during the celebrations. Tarini is a member of a family with a vegetarian tradition. However, the menu included all vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.


The famous Madhampatty Nagaraj & Co. in Coimbatore prepared the grand feast consisting of sweets, starters and main course. The menu included Ilanir Pistachio Halwa, Malay Paneer Tikka, Guntur Baby Corn Chilli, Ramasseri Idli and Powder, and saffron button parotta.


The dishes were arranged on a golden plate with banana leaves. In the visuals, everyone in the Jayaram family can be seen enjoying the dishes. Special counters were opened for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The food was in buffet style. In addition to the regular menu, a variety of different dishes were prepared.
