THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian said that film festivals aim to unite the world, and the International Film Festival of Kerala is a prime example of that. The minister was inaugurating the delegate cell and distribution of delegate kits of the 29th Kerala International Film Festival. Film stars Sharafudheen and Mahima Nambiar received delegate kits from the minister.

The minister said that the state government's stance is of humanity and that's what IFFK is also following.

"The International Film Festival of Kerala has evolved into Asia's largest film festival through freshness and public support. The representation of women filmmakers' movies and the tribute paid to veteran Malayalam actresses are examples of the festival's women-centric stance. With around 13,000 delegates attending, this edition of the film festival is expected to further highlight Kerala's presence on the global cinema map. The 29th International Film Festival of Kerala will commence on December 12 by paying tribute to departed legends of Malayalam cinema," the minister said.
