Wayanad rehabilitation: 388 families in first phase draft list, final list to be published within 30 days

KALPETTA: The first phase of the beneficiary draft list for the township project being implemented by the government for the victims of the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslides has been published. The first phase includes families who were rendered homeless by the disaster, as well as those who had been living in rented accommodations and do not own a home elsewhere.

The draft list of 388 families included in the first phase of the rehabilitation project has been published. The draft list is available for review at the Collectorate, Mananthavady RDO Office, Vythiri Taluk Office, Vellarimala Village Office, Meppadi Panchayat Office, and on the websites of the LSGD at lsgkerala.gov.in and the District Administration at wayanad.gov.in.

Help desks have been set up at the Vellarimala Village Office and the Meppadi Grama Panchayat Office to facilitate the public to examine the details in the published list. Those living in areas found to be unfit for habitation in the hazard zone will be considered for the second phase of rehabilitation.
