KOCHI: The police have registered a case against 10 people, including SFI district committee member Bhagyalakshmi and SFI activist Adarsh, for barging into the NCC camp at Thrikkakara KMM College and creating a clash. BJP Kalamassery municipal councilor Pramod has also been named as an accused. Following the food poisoning incident at the camp, parents of the students had reached the college and there was a verbal argument which ended in a clash. Following this, SFI district secretariat member Bhagyalakshmi and others reached the college following a complaint from a section of students that they were beaten up by the teachers at the camp.

However, the students alleged that Bhagyalakshmi, who barged into the college, spoke in a sexually abusive manner. This led to a verbal argument between the students and the SFI leaders. The students alleged that Bhagyalakshmi, who entered the camp without permission, asked, 'Do you share bed with teachers here?' and 'have you hidden anyone?' The students asked Bhagyalakshmi who are you to speak badly about our teachers. However, Bhagyalakshmi's response was that she had not made any such remarks.

Food poisoning broke out at the NCC 21 Kerala Battalion camp on Monday night. The students started having health issues soon after having lunch. By evening, many were vomiting and fainting. 72 students were admitted to Kalamassery Medical College soon after that.
