‘He is still reeling from his defeat to Suresh Gopi’; Sunil Kumar has also made same mistake, says Surendran

THRISSUR: BJP state president K Surendran said former minister and CPI leader V S Sunil Kumar has not yet come out from the pain of losing to Suresh Gopi in the Lok Sabha elections. K Surendran's statement was in response to Sunil Kumar's criticism against Surendran giving cake to Thrissur Mayor M K Varghese.

Surendran said that he has met many community leaders and bishops and had given them cakes and exchanged greetings on Christmas day. None saw politics in it, nor can they. If it is wrong to meet people and drink tea, then he has also made that mistake, Surendran said. He said that he had gone to Sunil Kumar's house in Anthikkad and had tea.

He also said Sunil Kumar had come to his house in Ulliyeri. Surendran lastly said stands are different and friendships are different. Sunil Kumar will always be my good friend.
