Mothers burst into tears soon after verdict in Periya twin murder case, offer floral tributes; fight will continue, say fathers

KANNUR: Parents of Sarath Lal and Kripesh burst into tears soon after the verdict in the Periya double murder case. The Ernakulam CBI court has convicted 14 accused in the murder of Youth Congress activists Sarath Lal and Kripesh of Kalliot in Periya.

Kripesh's mother Balamani said that her son has got justice. She wants the accused to get severe punishment. The government played a lot of games. She said that she suffered a lot in the case. Kripesh's father Krishnan said that he will proceed with further action after consulting his lawyer.

Sarath Lal's mother Latha said all the accused should get severe punishment. She said that she was hopeful that all the accused would be punished. The verdict does not seems to be satisfactory. Has faith in the court. Sarath Lal's father Satyanarayana said that he will proceed after consulting his lawyer on the acquittal of some of the accused who participated in the conspiracy.

It is very sad that a few people escaped. He also said that he is very happy that 14 people have been found guilty of murder. He said that he will fight legally until all the accused are punished. He is not completely satisfied with the verdict. He said that he fought with the government who should have protected us.

After hearing the verdict, Sharat Lal's mother Latha and Kripesh's mother Balamani reached the tombs of their son and paid homage. They burst into tears and offered floral tributes. Other family members also offered flowers.
