THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The shooting of the film 'Ottakomban', which marks the return of Union Minister Suresh Gopi into acting, has begun in Thiruvananthapuram. The first day's shoot took place on the premises of Poojappura Central Jail. Suresh Gopi portrays a real-life character, 'Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan'. He joined the shooting with the approval of the Prime Minister's Office. Alongside the shooting, the Union Minister’s office is also functioning on the set.
Although the movie is primarily centred around locations in Kottayam and Pala, key scenes are being filmed at the Poojappura Jail. The shooting in Thiruvananthapuram will last for two days. The total shooting schedule spans 100 days. 'Ottakkomban' is a family action drama produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies and directed by newcomer Mathews Thomas.
The cast includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Vijayaraghavan, Lalu Alex, Chemban Vinod, Johnny Antony, Biju Pappan, and Meghna Raj in prominent roles. The screenplay is penned by Shibin Francis.
