KOCHI: The High Court has clarified that praising women's physical features amounts to an insult to womanhood. Justice A Badharudeen observed that unnecessary descriptions about women and sending obscene messages cannot be considered devoid of sexual intent. The court clarified the stance in a judgment dismissing a petition filed by a former KSEB employee. A complaint had been filed against him by a female colleague.
Meanwhile, actress Honey Rose has filed a complaint against businessman Boby Chemmanur, accusing him of continuously making inappropriate remarks against her. The complaint was lodged with the Ernakulam Central Police, and a special investigation team has been assigned to probe the matter. The special team was formed under the leadership of Ernakulam Central ACP Jayakumar. The investigation will be carried out under the leadership of Central CI. The Kochi Police also stated that the investigation team will be expanded if necessary. A notice will be issued to summon Boby Chemmannur for questioning.
Honey Rose herself announced the filing of the complaint through her Facebook page. Earlier, she had filed complaints against individuals who had made derogatory comments about her on social media. Police registered cases against 30 people and arrested one person. The police are also preparing to take action against those who harassed her on her Instagram page.
