Fr George Thadathil teaching Gurudeva Darshan to the world

KOCHI: Fr Dr George Thadathil. Malayali priest in Vatican. Today he is a global propagator of Sree Narayana Gurudeva Darshan.

Fr George Thadathil teaches that Sree Narayana Guru is the only great soul after Jesus Christ who taught people to love others as yourself.

Fr George Thadathil became fascinated with Gurudeva Darshan at the age of 16, when he visited Sree Narayana Ashram (Gurukulam) in Payyanur Ezhimala. Thadathil's visit to the ashram was on a vacation trip to see his elder brother Rtd SP Lukes at work. He got primary information about Guru from the ashram publication 'Guru Sandesham' magazine. He also learned about Nataraja Guru from Swami Mick, a non-indian monk of the ashram.

His chosen topic for his MPhil in 1996 at the University of Madras was 'The Making of a Tradition: The Vision of Natarajaguru'. During his PhD, he chose 'A Study of the Sree Narayana Guru Movement in the Literature of Nitya Chaitanya Yati'. Thadathil was greatly influenced by the opportunity to meet Yati and stay at the Fernhill Gurukulam several times.

Fr Thadathil was born in 1963 in a family that migrated from Kanjirappally to Malabar in the 1920s. His father, late Abraham, was the Chakkittapara Grama Panchayat President. Mother: Late Thresyamma. George Thadathil is the sixth of seven siblings.

Fr George Thadathil is Head of Higher Education at Vatican Don Bosco Global Education. He was the Principal of Darjeeling Salesian College for 23 years. Thadathil was appointed by the Church to the Vatican in 2023.

Humanity in single world is the greatest

Sree Narayana Guru's biography has been translated into Nepali by Fr George Thadathil. He has published many papers and articles based on Gurudeva Darshan. Thadathil has also given lectures in foreign universities saying that Humanity in a single world is the greatest message. Thadathil is writing a new book on religious harmony messages of Sree Narayana Guru, Gandhiji and Dr Ambedkar. Fr George Thadathil said that Guru's works are the Bhagavad Gita of Kerala.

Sree Narayanaguru gave the world the message of how much contradictions need to be overcome and how to overcome them.
