KOCHI: The government will request not to grant bail to businessman Boby Chemmanur, remanded in the case of sexually assaulting actress Honey Rose. The government's move is at a time when the high court will be considering his bail plea today.

Boby Chemmanur had been frequently insulting the complainant. He touched her without her permission during a public event. He used to regularly abuse her. He constantly repeats the same crime. He publicly insults womanhood.

He has not only abused actress Honey Rose. He often hurls abuses and uses double entendre. The prosecution will inform the court today that granting bail will send a wrong message to the society.

Meantime, Boby Chemmanur is demanding that the charges against him are not serious and that he should be granted bail once the police questioning is over. Boby was remanded for fourteen days after the Ernakulam First Class Judicial Magistrate Court denied him bail. The police have registered a case against Boby under non-bailable charges.

Boby was taken into custody by the police from a resort in Wayanad on January 8. His arrest was later recorded in the evening. As soon as bail was denied, his blood pressure shot up and he developed uneasiness. He was then allowed to rest in the courtroom. He was shifted to Kakkanad Jail after a medical examination.
