Girl 16, gives birth to 14-year-old brother’s baby, relationship started as a joke, says statement

KOLLAM: Reports said that a 16-year-old girl has given birth to a baby fathered by her 14-year-old brother. The girl in her statement said that her 14-year-old brother is responsible for it. She also said that the relationship started as a joke and through that she became pregnant.

The girl gave birth on January 13 in Alappuzha Vandanam Medical College. When the police and Child Line workers recorded her statement, the girl said that her brother was behind the act. The police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
