Abused 17-year-old girl making parents stand outside room; witch doctor arrested in Adoor gang rape case

PATHANAMTHITTA: A witch doctor has been arrested in the case of sexual assault of a plus student by nine people in Adoor. Badar Saman (62), a native of Athikkattukulangara, who is known as Thangal, has been arrested by the Nooradu police. He sexually exploited the girl when she was in seventh grade. Four people were arrested the other day in the case. The girl was brought to the black magician by her parents, saying that she was not paying attention to her studies. The girl was subjected to abuse by keeping her parents outside the room.

The girl revealed the abuse she had faced for six years during counselling conducted by the child welfare committee at the school. It was also revealed that the girl was first sexually abused by the black magician, who has now been arrested. The girl testified that eight more people, including a classmate, sexually abused her in the following years. The girl also says that her classmate circulated her nude pictures. Based on the revelation, the incident was reported to the police with the intervention of the CWC and school authorities.
