KOCHI: Kochi-based startup Kokonet Solutions is turning car parking into a business. The company, which was started three years ago, will come to Thiruvananthapuram in March with parking solutions. All you have to do is inform them through a mobile app. The company's driver will arrive and take the car. The vehicle will be returned when requested. Parking facilities are provided by renting vacant spaces. Currently, the service is only for cars.

S. Pyarilal (43), a native of Deshamangalam, Thrissur, is the founder of Koko. His friend and Dubai-based accountant Shahul Hameed is the partner. Pyarilal, who was a software product architect, came up with the idea when he lost his job during the Covid period. He started the service at Doctors Tower Hospital in Kakkanad. Later, medical trusts, Lisie hospitals, busy hotels, bakeries, etc. all asked for services. Conference organizers are also approaching Koko.
