'Mammootty took my shoes and threw them into river'; Salim Kumar shares unforgettable experience during foreign trip

Mammootty and Salim Kumar are the favourite actors of Malayalis. The two maintain a very close friendship. In a recent interview, Salim Kumar shared a curious incident he had with Mammootty. The actor shared his experience of travelling abroad with Mammootty with other actors in the past. Salim Kumar went to America with Mammootty in 2000.

'I went to America with Mammootty in 2000. I didn't know Mammootty personally that well at that time. But I managed to build a good friendship through that trip. That day, I was wearing a shoe. Mammootty asked if the shoe was torn. I replied that it was not torn, but it was slightly old shoes. He asked me to take off the shoes. When I took off my shoes, he threw them into the river there. Then he asked me to get in the car, and he bought me an expensive pair of shoes,' Salim Kumar explained. He narrated this incident in an interview given to a YouTube channel.

Mammootty and Salim Kumar have acted together in many films like Rajamanikyam, Mayavi, Thuruppugulan, Madhura Raja, Thommanum Makkalum, and Thaskara Veeran. Although Salim Kumar made his debut as a comedy star, he later proved his mettle in character roles.
