Five-year-old boy dies after falling into well

NEMOM: A five-year-old boy died after falling into a well in his backyard. The deceased is Dhruv S.A., son of Sumesh and Arya, who live on rent at Padma Vilasam, S.B.R.A. 171, Sarvodayam Road, Nemom.

The accident occurred on Friday evening when he was playing with his two-year-old sister Druvika in the backyard after coming home from nursery. At that time, his father, Sumesh, a painter, had gone to work. His mother, Arya, was washing clothes. After feeling suspicious after seeing a chair near the well, Arya informed the fire force. Dhruv was taken out and initially taken to Shanthivila Taluk Hospital, but his life could not be saved. Dhruv, who was unable to speak, was a student at Sainik Daycare Centre and Pre School near his house.
