Union Minister highlights Kerala's economic potential; Piyush Goyal assures full support for Investment in state

KOCHI: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that he will provide full support in attracting investment in Kerala.The country can grow only if the states grow. India contributes 16 percent of the world's economic growth. India has grown to become the world's fifth largest economy in the last ten years. It is expected to take third place by 2027. As India grows, Kerala also has great potential. There are four international airports here. The state is at the forefront in the fields of tourism, manufacturing, fisheries and logistics.

The Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod semi-high speed rail will change the face of the state. The Smart Industrial Township, which will be built on 1,700 acres in Palakkad at a cost of Rs 3,800 crore, will give Kerala a new industrial culture. 1,126 km of national highways have been developed in Kerala under the Bharatmala project.

Piyush Goyal said that Malayalis have entrepreneurship in their blood. The Kochi airport, which was started 25 years ago by 12,000 overseas Malayalis with an investment of Rs 300 crore, is an example of this. Kerala is at the forefront in areas such as culinary diversity, Ayurveda and tourism. It has many advantages to showcase to the world. Kerala has the country's first water metro. The Vizhinjam port project will revive the country's shipping sector. Kerala has undeniable advantages in areas such as digital connectivity, waste management and road infrastructure.
