Major fire breaks out in garment store in Kanhangad, shop completely gutted

KASARGOD: A major fire broke out at a garment shop in Kanhangad. The shop was completely gutted in the fire. The initial conclusion is that short circuit is the cause of the accident. There was a petrol pump near the shop where the fire broke out, which was a cause of great concern. The timely intervention of the locals and the fire force prevented a major disaster. Several establishments are also operating here.

The fire broke out at an establishment called Mother India. Locals who came rushing seeing the fire and smoke from the store informed the police and the fire force. Two units of fire force reached the spot. The fire was doused with great effort. A loss of lakhs is estimated.
