MUMBAI: The two girls, who went missing from Malappuram and found at Lonavala in Mumbai, will soon be handed over to the Kerala Police. The two have been brought to Pune railway station. Tanur sub inspector and two cops will reach Pune to receive them.
The girls initially said that there are issues at home and are not interested to return. However, the Mumbai Police later informed that they were happy to go home. After bringing them back, both will be subjected to counseling.
Both are students of Devadar School in Tanur. They have been missing since Wednesday. They left home saying that they were going to school. When they did not return home, their parents informed the police. In the search conducted, the railway police found them while traveling in a train this morning.
An investigation on the mobile location was crucial. Both their phones were switched off earlier. However, a breakthrough came when a new SIM card was inserted in one of the phones at 9 pm last night.
Following the information provided by the Kerala Police, the railway police conducted an investigation and found the girls from the Chennai Egmore Express. The railway police caught them when the train reached Lonavala at around 1.45 am. They were then asked to get down at the railway station. They did not cooperate with the police initially but later agreed.
