THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala police chief and DGP Loknath Behera on Friday received permission from to file a defamation case against KPCC President Mullappally Ramachandran following a controversial remark about the former. It was the home ministry that gave permission to the police chief.
The alleged remark was made during the time of Lok Sabha elections when the KPCC president criticized the DGP for issuing a circular that demands the details of the policemen having postal votes. While criticizing him, Mullappally said, "The Police DGP is behaving like CPM branch secretary by issuing such a circular."
