M V Govindan to continue as CPM state secretary, 17 new faces including Minister Bindu and V Vaseef

KOLLAM: The CPM has selected members for the state committee. 17 new faces have been included in the 89-member state committee. S Jayamohan (Kollam), M Prakashan Master (Kannur), V K Sanoj (Kannur), V Vaseef (Kozhikode), K Shanthakumari (Palakkad), R Bindu (Thrissur), M Anil Kumar (Ernakulam), K Prasad (Alappuzha), B R Reghunath (Kottayam), D K Murali (Thiruvananthapuram), M Rajagopal (Kasargod), K Rafeeq (Wayanad), M Mehboob (Kozhikode), V P Anil (Malappuram), K V Abdul Khader (Thrissur) are the new faces selected for the state committee. Meantime, M V Govindan will continue as the CPM state secretary.

Five new district secretaries are also in the state committee. K Rafeeq, M Rajagopal, M Mehboob, K V Abdul Khader, V P Anil and T R Raghunathan, who is likely to become the district secretary in Kottayam, are also included in the state committee. Meantime, no one has been included in the state committee from Pathanamthitta. Despite indications that Minister Veena George would be included, she was included as an invitee in the last stage. John Brittas MP has also been included. However, Susan Kody has not been included in the CPM state committee following factionalism in Karunagappally.
