Job where one can earn Rs 85,000 a day; opportunity for expats as well

DUBAI: A recent report indicates that the number of people choosing freelance jobs in the UAE is increasing. Freelancers are reportedly earning up to 3600 dirhams per day (Rs 85,000). This information is provided in a report released by Outsized, an independent talent platform. The most in-demand jobs include card portfolio management, project and product management, data analytics, business development, and risk management, with daily wages starting from 1,100 dirhams.

According to the 2025 Talent on Demand report, freelance registrations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region have increased by 78% over the past year. The daily wage for freelancers will depend on their level of experience. Additionally, the sector in which they work will also determine the wages, as stated by Asim Sainulbhai, Managing Director of MENA and India.

For example, those with five years of experience in card portfolio management can earn between 275 to 325 dollars per day. Those with 11 to 15 years of experience in the same field can earn between 725 to 875 dollars per day. Similarly, project managers in the early stages of their careers earn about 250 dollars a day, while those with more than a decade of expertise can earn between 525 to 675 dollars per day.

Can expatriates work freelance?
A key question is whether expatriates can do freelance work. The UAE offers freelancers multiple visa and residency options. In 2022, the country introduced a five-year green visa for freelancers and self-employed individuals, which does not require a sponsor.
