Anand Kumar remanded till March 26 in half-priced case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K N Ananda Kumar, executive director of Sai Gram Trust, has been remanded till March 26 in the half-price fraud case. Ananda Kumar's case was considered by the Thiruvananthapuram Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. He had applied for interim bail but was not granted.

Ananda Kumar arrested by the crime branch is presently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. So, he could not be produced in the court directly. He will be shifted from the hospital to the Muvattupuzha Sub-Jail. The court has directed in the remand order that he be produced in the court by 11 am on March 26. The court has also clarified that the Muvattupuzha Sub-Jail Superintendent can decide on the further treatment of Ananda Kumar presently undergoing treatment.

Ananda Kumar developed uneasiness after being taken into custody by the crime branch the other day. He was then admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
