‘Special prayers for Mohanlal’s film this time,’ says Chippy 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lakhs of women from different parts of the state are offering Pongala. Like every time, actress Chippy has also come to offer Pongala. The film ‘Thudarum', produced by Chippy's husband and producer Rajputra Ranjith, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is getting ready for release. While talking to an online channel, she said that there is a special prayer for the film.

‘If you ask me, I don’t know the count of the pongala offered. It will be more than twenty years. Have been offering pongala every year. Started offering pongala at my younger age and in between have missed some. So, it is not possible to say the count of the pongala offered. Every time I come, feels like coming for the first time. We are witnessing a heavy rush this year. A heavy rush was witnessed in the temple also.

‘Film ‘Thudarum’ will release soon. I came this time to pray for the film. I go through all the trolls on my phone. It is part of Pongala and so, no problem. It is associated with Attukalamma's name, so I am happy,' said Chippy. Apart from Chippyi, Parvathy Jayaram, daughter-in-law Tarini have also come to offer pongala. Apart from them, many film and serial stars are also offering pongala.
