ADOOR: A voice note from the same party member claiming Adoor Municipality Chairperson and CPM Area Committee member Divya Reji Mohammed’s alleged links with drug mafia went viral on Whatsapp on Thursday. Rony Panamthundil made the allegation in a voice message on the CPM councilors' WhatsApp group.

Rony alleged the chairperson of favouring a shop in Adoor, frequently complained about as a hub for the drug mafia. Rony said that Divya, also a member of the Mahila Association state committee, helped the shop get a license through shrewd political dealings.

Congress and BJP marched to the municipality in protest against the incident. Meanwhile, CPM leadership and chairperson denied the allegations.
