Mixed drugs in her food, molested for years; accused arrested in POCSO case in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: A complaint has been filed that a minor girl was drugged and molested for years by mixing drugs in her food. The incident took place in Kottakkal, Malappuram. Alungal Abdul Gafoor (23), a native of Vengara Cherur, was arrested in the POCSO case.

The girl's complaint states that the harassment, which began in 2020 when she was a Plus One student, continued until March 2025. The accused seduced the girl, whom he met through Instagram, by pretending to be in love. The accused, who took nude photos of the girl, also stole her gold ornaments. The girl filed a complaint with the police after she recovered from her addiction following treatment. The accused was arrested by the Kottakkal police. The police also seized the accused's phone.
