VATICAN: The Vatican has reported that the condition of Pope Francis, who has been in the hospital for days, is improving. The Vatican informed that the Pope has started breathing without the support of oxygen and has changed his mask. The Vatican released pictures of the Pope engrossed in prayers a few days ago. It brings relief to the believers around the world.

He was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14 following respiratory problems. The picture released shows the Pope praying sitting in a wheelchair in the hospital's prayer room. The Pope is engrossed in the prayers with his head bowed down. The Vatican shared the pictures with the caption that Pope Francis celebrated Holy Communion in his apartment room on the 10th floor of the Gemelli Polyclinic.

There have been many reports about his health in the past few days. A medical bulletin released said the Pope's health is improving. In a message issued on Sunday, he said that he is weak and facing a testing period.

No pictures of him from the hospital were initially released, considering the Pope's privacy. Reports also indicate that it has not been decided whether Pope Francis will retire due to his health. A retired cardinal had previously indicated that the Pope may resign due to his poor health. All public events of the Pope have been canceled indefinitely.
