Veena Mukundan is an anchor who is quite popular among celebrity interviews. Veena, who became famous as an anchor in an online media, started her own channel and is now into celebrity interviews. She made her acting debut with the film 'Aap Kaise Ho' recently. A few days ago, Veena had revealed about the trauma she faced. She opened up on her YouTube channel about the illness Edema that troubled her for more than three weeks. The video is captioned as 'Days when I was afraid to look at myself in the mirror'.

'Decided to take a quick nap on the afternoon of February 10 after an interview. When I woke up in the evening, there was a swelling on the side of my eye. I thought it was due to the stress and did no mind about it. When I woke up the next morning, there was a lot of swelling around my eye. I got tensed and went to a hospital in Ernakulam. The doctor told her that she would be fine the next morning. When she asked the doctor whether she could go for an event scheduled the next day, he said yes.

I came back from the hospital. Had the medicine the doctor prescribed, but there was no change. The next day, I couldn't even open my eyes. Met an eye specialist and after examining me he said that it was Edema. There will be inflammation in the tear glands and the doctor said it would take two to three weeks to recover. I was really sad then. I had committed many events at that time. The doctor told me not to cry and that it will bulge more. I couldn't stop crying. I didn't even have the courage to look in the mirror.

I was hesitant to face people. When there was inflammation in my other eye, I was afraid that it would also close. I didn’t want to cry, but cried. The doctor asked her to get admitted if she was so tensed. I decided to get admitted, but when the doctor said that it was enough to stay at home, I did that. I was lazy to go out. Then my relatives and friends working with me gave me the courage. They said, 'People notice you through your speech and not at your beauty.' With that courage, went for the promotion of the movie 'Aap Kaise Ho'. I went wearing cooling glasses. After that, I interviewed the stars of the movie 'Officer on Duty'. Got many comments on that video. Why is Veena alone in cooling glasses? I wore that to cover my eyes,' she said.
