A week back, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan ignited retirement rumours with a cryptic social media caption "Time to go". In the later episode of the television show Kaun Banega Crorepati, Bachchan ruled out retirement rumours and said he will continue to host the show in the next season too.
In the meantime, the Indian Institute of Human Brands (IIHB) and Rediffusion’s Red Lab conducted a study among people to know their choice of host if Bachchan decides to quit the legendary show. The study reported that people wanted Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai to take over the reins from Bachchan in the iconic television show. MS Dhoni came third in the study conducted among people. Amitabh has been running the show since the year 2000.
With the tweet going viral, Amitabh Bachchan came with a clarification.
“After work ends at 2 am, it takes about two hours for me to reach home. I will be drained out during those times. The only thing I remember is typing “Time to go’ which I meant about taking a nap and closing the day”
However, talks are ongoing in the television media about possible replacements for 'KBC' host considering Bachchan's age.
