Geethi Sangeetha is an actress who became familiar to Malayalees through a few roles. The actress has now opened up about some issues in the film industry. Geethi said that she left her government job and came to the film industry with the sole desire of acting. She clarified that she is doing small roles but is happy working. Geethi shared these things in an interview given to a YouTube channel.
'I don’t agree with the idea that actresses should make some compromises in the film industry for roles. My first film released in 2017. If I had such a situation, I would not have continued in the film industry until 2025. Nothing will happen without your permission. When I came to the film industry, only one person asked me if I could adjust. From that, I understood that I should make some adjustments in my remuneration. I did not understand what he meant. Later, he told me exactly the matter. When I heard that, I first laughed and when he saw that, he got angry with me.
I am one who quit the government job for acting. I had the mindset that if I don't get a chance in films, I will do plays. Since then, I have heard various experiences. I have worked with teams that had no such intention. I am called to do movies because I like my acting. I am happy about that. If you wait patiently, good opportunities will come. However, many people are ready to make adjustments. It affects people like us. Directors cast me in movies, but I lost opportunities in some movies. When I ask them the reason for that, they say that the producers brought in fresh faces. I absorb all that,' said Geethi.
