DUBAI: The UAE has announced an ambitious high-speed train project that will enable travel from Dubai to India in just two hours. The ambitious project, spearheaded by UAE National Advisor Bureau Limited, will feature trains capable of reaching speeds of up to 1,000 kilometers per hour. A key highlight of the project is its potential to significantly reduce travel time, with these underwater trains designed to operate at speeds ranging between 600 and 1,000 km/h. In addition to passenger transport, the system will facilitate the movement of cargo, including fuel and other essential goods.
Currently, flights between the UAE and India take around four hours. This underwater train is expected to benefit not only the UAE and India but also other countries along the route, according to Abdulla Al Shehhi, Chief Consultant at National Advisor Bureau Limited.
The project will also facilitate the transport of oil from the UAE to India and fresh water from India to the UAE. Additionally, the underwater train has been designed to offer passengers a unique deep-sea experience, allowing them to enjoy underwater views during their journey.
