Boy dies of electrocution after coming in contact with wire

ALAPPUZHA: A boy, who came to spend his vacation at his mother’s house, died of electrocution. The dead is Hameen, son of Isaac of Thiruvalla and Shyama. The incident happened at Shyama’s house in Chettikulangara. The boy was trying to catch an antlion near the wall of the house. A passerby saw Hameen lying down. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved.

The initial conclusion is that the child may have come into contract with an earth wire. KSEB section officials visited the spot and inspected. According to the report of the electricity board chief security officer, electricity passed from the live wire to the earth due to a short circuit in the socket. Hameen and his sister had come to their mother's house a week ago to spend their vacation.
