KODUNGALLUR: A non-bailable case has been registered against writer K.R. Indira for her communal remarks on social media. The IPC section 153 A for the attempt to create religious disharmony and Kerala Police Act section 120 O for causing nuisance. The case registered on the petition filed by M.R. Vipin Das.
In the petition, it is said that K.R. Indira remarks can disrupt the existing peace in the society. Her remarks was regarding the exclusion of 19 lakh persons from the final NRC in Assam.
In her post, Indira wrote that illegal immigrants should be given minimum facility in camps without ration card or Aadhar card. She even said that the immigrants should be sterilized to avoid pregnancies.
The post received strong backlash on social media. “Muslim women are giving birth like pigs. They should be sterilized by mixing contraceptives in pipe water”, Indira wrote on Facebook.
