KOZHIKODE: CPM state secretary M V Govindan has come forward supporting Divya S Iyer. Govindan said that what is happening against Divya is a major cyber-attack and the leaders' remarks against her are emerging as part of a male-dominated society.
Congress leaders are also involved in attacking her. No matter how high a position women occupy, male supremacy generally prevails. Govindan said that she herself has said that she will not back down from what she said.
There is an attempt to divide the Munambam issue into two, one Christian and the other Muslim community. Some are interfering to obstruct the attempt to resolve the issue peacefully. Both the sections should be taken together. A solution should be found without evicting the two communities, he said.
Speaking to the media in Kozhikode, he said there are some on the other side who take a communal stance in the name of the League and the Christian community, and that although they may seem to be at odds with each other, they are all in good agreement.
