THRISSUR: A three-year-old girl died after experiencing discomfort after eating masala dosa. It is suspected that the child died due to food poisoning. The deceased has been identified as Olivia, daughter of Vendore native Kallukkaran Henry.

Henry, who had returned from abroad on Saturday, was picked up from Nedumbassery airport by his family. On their way home, the family stopped at a nearby restaurant and had masala dosa. After reaching home, they began to feel unwell. Henry was the first to experience discomfort. He went to the hospital, received an injection, and returned home. Shortly after, his wife and Olivia also started feeling unwell. They too received injections from a private hospital and returned home.

However, Olivia's condition worsened, and she was admitted to a private hospital in Kodakara. Her health deteriorated further during the early hours of the morning. She was then taken to another private hospital in Vendore and subsequently to the Puthukkad Taluk Hospital, where she was declared dead. The Puthukkad police conducted an inquest into the incident.
