Various devices seized from murder accused prisoner, case registered

KANNUR: Mobile phones and smart watches were seized from prisoners in Kannur Central Jail. Kannur Town Police have registered a case against three prisoners in the incident.

The mobile phones, SIM cards, power banks, smart watches, ear pods and USB cables were seized from murder accused Ranjith of Thiruvananthapuram and other prisoners Akhil and Ibrahim Badusha. The search was conducted on the tenth block of the jail. It was found that SIM was used in the smart watch. The case was registered against the prisoners on the complaint of the jail superintendent.
