KANNUR: A film activist has been held with ganja again. Nadeesh Narayanan was arrested with 115 grams of ganja. He was arrested by the Payyannur excise team. He had been under the observation of the excise for days.
He was arrested near the Payyannur Kandankali railway gate. He was surrounded by the excise while riding a bike. Ganja was found in a search conducted. He has worked for the film 'Kasargold'.
Meantime, director and cinematographer Sameer Thahir was arrested yesterday in the hybrid ganja case against young directors. A notice was earlier issued to Sameer Thahir to appear for questioning in the case. After questioning, his arrest was recorded and was released on station bail.
Directors Khalid Rehman and Ashraf Hamza were arrested a few days ago from a flat in the name of Sameer Tahir in the hybrid ganja case. Sameer Tahir was questioned in this case. A case was then registered and he was arrested.
Sameer Tahir has given a statement that he rented this flat seven years ago and that he did not know that Khalid Rehman and Ashraf Hamza had brought or used drugs. There are hints that an actor also used to come to this flat to use drugs.
