LUCKNOW: Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is getting married. The star is getting married to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj. The engagement of the two will take place on June 8 at a hotel in Lucknow. Rinku Singh was a Kolkata Knight Riders player in the 2025 IPL. Kolkata was eliminated in the competition without qualifying for the playoffs. Rinku Singh scored 206 runs in 13 matches.
Rinku and Priya have known each other for over a year. They first met through a mutual friend. Rumours of their marriage were also circulating widely on social media.
Priya has been actively involved with the Samajwadi Party for years in Karkhiyaon village in Varanasi. A former Supreme Court lawyer, Priya first gained public attention when she campaigned for her father in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Priya became an MP for the Samajwadi Party from the Machhali Shahar constituency in Jaunpur And Varanasi districts in 2024.
Rinku came to prominence when he hit five consecutive sixes in a match against Gujarat Titans in the 2023 IPL. Since then, he has played in two ODIs and 33 T20Is for India. He has also scored three half-centuries representing India.
