Brutal torture from mother-son duo for refusing pornographic gig; woman in critical condition

KOLKATA: A mother and son are alleged to have attacked a woman after the latter refused to appear in a soft pornographic film shoot. The incident took place in Domjur in the Howrah district of Kolkata. The 23-year-old woman from North 24 Parganas district went through the torture for almost five months. She was allegedly locked up in an apartment in the area for almost months and was badly roughed up by the duo.

The woman is undergoing treatment at Sagore Dutta Medical College and her condition is said to be serious. In her statement made from the hospital bed, the victim said that she suffered more torture from the mother (Shweta Khan) than her son.

Both the mother and son duo are absconding. Shweta Khan, a bar dancer in the area, is quite an influential figure. The police are investigating whether they were running a pornographic film racket under the guise of an event management agency. Police sources also indicate that they were running a film production house that shot soft pornographic reels. Both the mother and son used to trap young models to act in their production.

The son Arian Khan is another accused and is alleged to have befriended the victim before forcing her to appear in the pornographic shoot. He first offered a job with high payment leaving the victim with no option but to accept it. The job offer was just a guise to trap the young woman in his sleazy business.

The victim’s family complained to the police and said that the mother-son duo brutally tortured her and even tried to insert the rod into her private parts.

On June 6th, the victim managed to escape from her captivity and reached her house. She was immediately then admitted to a hospital.
