Autorickshaw driver drowns in temple pond while swimming

THRISSUR: In a tragic incident, a man drowned in the temple pond at Pattichirakkavu Temple in Parlikad while swimming. The deceased has been identified as Thekkumkara native Sunil Kumar (47).

The incident took place at around 2.30 PM today. Sunil was swimming in the pond with his friends when he lost consciousness and drowned. Following this, the locals alerted the Wadakkanchery Fire Force. The body was found during a one and a half long search conducted by the Fire Force officials. Sunil was an autorickshaw driver based in Thiruvanikavu. The body has been shifted to the Mulagunnathukavu mortuary. It will be handed over to his family after post-mortem.
