Woman washes eyes with urine in video, says solution to three health issues, depressing and terrifying, says doctor

Nupur Pittie of Pune has come forward with a new video claiming that she can live without using medicines. Her video has gone viral on social media. In the new video, the woman has claimed that she washes her eyes with urine every day.

In the video, the woman shows how she washes her eyes with urine. She also titled the video as ‘Urine Eye Wash-Nature's Own Medicine'. She washes her eyes with the first morning urine.

The woman claimed that it helps with redness, dryness and irritation. The woman shows how she washes her eyes step by step. She pours urine into two small bottles and applies it into her eyes.

The video went viral on social media very quickly. More than 1.5 lakh people watched the video in 24 hours. Following this, there is a lot of criticism against the woman from medical professionals and netizens. Critics point out that this has no scientific basis and that it can lead to eye infections.

Dr Cyriac Abby Philips (TheLiverDoc), shared the video on X, warning viewers with the caption, "Please don't put your urine inside your eyes. Urine is not sterile."
He also criticised the trend with a sharp remark, calling it "depressing and terrifying".
