THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a surprise move, the state government has revoked the list of police officers requested by Raj Bhavan for the Governor's security. The decision comes just a day after the list was approved, with six police personnel assigned to security duties being withdrawn.

The Governor had submitted a list of six officers to the Director General of Police (DGP), requesting their deployment as part of his personal security team. Typically, in the absence of major security concerns, officials requested by high-ranking dignitaries are assigned as per protocol.

However, the government revoked the appointments without providing any explanation. The order was issued by AIG Poonguzhali on behalf of the State Police Chief.. The Governor is scheduled to return to the state capital tomorrow. A final decision regarding the security arrangement is expected following his arrival.
