Facebook post against Minister Veena George; action directed against CPM leaders

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Action has been taken against CPM leaders and activists who posted a Facebook post against Minister Veena George in connection with the incident of the building collapse at Kottayam Medical College and the death of a woman. The decision was taken at the CPM Pathanamthitta District Secretariat meeting held today. The District Secretariat directed the concerned party elements to take action and report within three days.

Eraviperoor Area Committee member N Rajeev and Elanthoor Local Committee member Johnson posted a Facebook post mocking and criticising Veena George. The LDF explanatory meeting will be held on the 10th of this month. LDF will hold a meeting in the Aranmula constituency to counter the campaigns against the Health Minister. The District Secretariat meeting decided to organise a rally and explanatory meeting in all panchayats.
