THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC President Sunny Joseph and Working President PC Vishnunath will meet Congress national leaders in Delhi today. They will discuss matters related to KPCC reorganization with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC Organizational General Secretary KC Venugopal, and Kerala General Secretary Deepa Dasmunsi.

KPCC leaders will put forward the feeling that there is an urgent need for reorganization before the local body elections. There is no time for a complete overhaul. Senior leaders are also of the opinion that total changes may affect the current organisational structure. Efforts will be made to replace those who are doing poor work and replace them with those who are actively involved in organisational work.

Both leaders will return to Kerala tonight after the meeting. The first UDF meeting after the Nilambur by-election will be held in Kochi on the 10th. A detailed assessment of the election activities will be held in the meeting. UDF expansion is the main agenda. The meeting will formulate a guideline in this regard.

Another topic of discussion is the PV Anvar issue. Although Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has repeatedly said that Anvar is a closed chapter, Anvar joining the UDF will not be ruled out if the path is clear. Senior leaders have expressed the opinion that Anvar, who has won more than 19,000 votes by fighting with three fronts, should not be ignored. It is estimated that if Anvar joins the UDF camp, it will be beneficial in the assembly elections, at least in the Malappuram district.
