THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With heavy rains intensifying across the state, a yellow alert has been issued for various districts in Kerala over the next five days. The forecast indicates the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall, which refers to rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also warned of strong winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 km/h in isolated places across Kerala from today till July 11.
Additionally, isolated parts of Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod may experience moderate rainfall and gusty winds reaching up to 40 km/h over the next three hours. Meanwhile, no restrictions have been imposed on fishing activities along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts for the day.
